In partnership with the City of Columbus, Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. (R/M) recently managed the Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Storm Water Project and took on the administration of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The City faced challenges with the time-consuming and intricate administrative requirements of securing and maintaining the CDBG grant. Given R/M's extensive experience in grant writing, particularly with CDBG grants, we stepped in to ensure a seamless process.
Our team, led by Andy Burt, P.E. and Bridgot Gysbers, worked directly with the City and the grant's regulatory agency, setting up regular check-ins to stay on top of deadlines and data requirements. By leveraging our engineering and financial expertise, we managed all aspects of the grant, from award through final disbursement, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and completing the necessary audit. This collaboration reflects R/M's commitment to providing comprehensive support to our clients, allowing them to focus on their communities while we handle the technicalities.
The City of Columbus successfully secured the grant and can now move forward with their storm water initiatives, thanks to a streamlined process and our team’s dedicated efforts.
