CONTINUED Care Retirement COmmunity
Bettendorf, IA

The Summit of Bettendorf, a WellSpire community, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to promote healthy living and offer a range of senior care options, including independent and assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, memory support, and long-term care. Partnering with WesleyLife and Genesis Health System, The Summit was developed to provide residents with not only top-tier care but also access to a variety of amenities that enhance daily life. Located conveniently near local attractions, residents enjoy a vibrant community atmosphere, complemented by beautiful architecture and thoughtful design.

Axiom Consultants, a Ruekert & Mielke Company, played a key role in delivering the civil, environmental, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering services for this project. The facility spans 296,395 square feet and is designed with a focus on both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Featuring dramatic windows, dynamic architecture, and soft interior touches, such as wood accents and plush textiles, the building fosters an environment of comfort and warmth. A rooftop lounge offers a relaxing space for residents to enjoy while promoting social engagement and community interaction.

The needs of The Summit’s residents were central to the design process. Axiom’s comprehensive engineering work ensured that the facility was built to accommodate not only the present requirements of the residents but also future growth. The engineering solutions provided by Axiom were essential in creating a safe, efficient, and welcoming space where residents can focus on holistic health and well-being. In addition to civil engineering, Axiom’s environmental team ensured that the project adhered to sustainable practices, while the mechanical and electrical teams worked to integrate energy-efficient systems throughout the facility.

The result is a modern and welcoming community that supports a holistic approach to healthy aging, offering peace of mind to residents, their families, and the broader community.
